About Se’a Criss
Personal Mission Statement:
| I intend to see this
world, in my lifetime, become a place where everyone on the
planet wants to be in his or her world. Where all are fed, housed
and have clean water to drink, where all life is bountiful with
spiritual and political differences revered, the planet honored
– peace prevails. |
Se’a Criss has been a practitioner
in natural health and personal relationship facilitation for over
25 years. She holds degrees in art, psychology, and Integrated Natural
Therapies. Sea’s work draws on a lifetime of training in meditation
and spiritual practice, yoga and movement, body therapies, shamanic
healing, hypnotherapy, psychology, family dynamics, midwifery, and
her own deep, personal probing into the mystery of life. Private
practice sessions are the soul of the work. Her work has always
been to support people to find their inner truth and power in all
realms of life, stepping out of their history and into fullness.
Se’a has had the opportunity to serve clients in various ways.
From experiences with healing family systems, she learned how to
facilitate emotional and communication awareness that brings about
heartfelt, soulful relationships. She takes this knowledge into
business systems and guides clients to boundary their personal and
professional lives in ways that support good business and vital
personal transformation.
Since the early 90’s Se’a
has worked with the creators of Begawan Giri Estate in Bali Indonesia,
both with interpersonal relationships & family business issues.
She trained the original staff of The Source - their award
winning spa- in body work, Yogaia movement and teamwork and
she was very instrumental during management meetings in resolving
crisis.
Se’a has an eighteen-year
consulting practice with an international designer couple, who live
and work between two continents. They are partners both in life
and their jewelry business. Sea’s work with them has facilitated
a deep long-term commitment in the relationship that at times was
challenged by the intricacies of their complex partnership. The
work also facilitates their relationships within the company, their
family and community and helps them bring their ‘green philosophy
in sustainable luxury’ fully into their lives and business.
Se’a also works with non-profit organizations and government
agencies. She as assisted the Self Reliance Foundation and its corporate
affiliate, Hispanic Radio Network, in Washington, DC, to develop
a smoothly operating alliance. In 2004, she co-facilitated a diabetes
assessment for the NM State Department of Health, which led to an
awareness of the diabetes epidemic in this state.
She has led business leaders through personal transformational retreats
and works at depth to thoroughly awaken the client to their wholeness,
discovering ways they can be successful and alive at the same time.
Sea’s work is quite intuitive and her vision allows her to
facilitate processes of self-knowledge and healing in creative and
unique ways.
Her most recent passion is consulting
with resorts and developers to create sustainable eco-centered properties
and dwellings that are vitally integrated with the surrounding communities
and responsible to local environmental needs. These resorts will
become models for effective environmentally and socially conscious
business success.
Se’a also co-created Yogaia
Life Wave, a full-body movement practice that focuses on undulating
waves through the spine. Yogaia draws from yoga, dance, martial
arts awareness and meditation to create a ceremonial celebration
form that connects your to your complete vitality and with the Earth.
She trains teachers in Yogaia and conducts workshops around the
world.
Se’a Criss has published several personal development books
and the new book, Yogaia, is being readied for publication. In 1996
she co-produced a video introducing Yogaia, with co-founder Bob
Friedman, MD.
Having grown up in rural Mississippi
during the 1950’s and 60’s, Se’a developed a deep
and abiding love for nature and a lifelong commitment to human rights
and the environment. She is a mother and grandmother. She lives
in Santa Fe, NM and travels internationally to consult and facilitate
leaders in their transformation.
